Even though these three concepts are configured at the employee database level, they have different applications in Skillup.
```html💡 We recommend contacting your designated representative who can provide personalized advice on these settings, tailored to your specific context and needs. In any case, implementing them in Skillup should be done with the help of your dedicated representative.
Scopes
Scopes allow you to structure your employee database in Skillup. This setting is particularly useful when employee populations are distributed among different members of the HR team. Each HR member can thus have the role of Manager on Skillup and will only see the employee populations they are responsible for.
Sub-companies
This is useful when there are entities with different billing information within your company. When an employee enrolls in a training session with a Skillup partner organization, the organization will send you the invoice with the details of the sub-company to which the concerned employee is attached.
Groups
A group of employees corresponds to a portal of recommended trainings. Therefore, there will be as many portals of recommended trainings as there are configured groups. In their Employee space, each employee will only see the trainings from the portal of the group to which they are attached.
⚠️ Setting up groups requires significant maintenance work for each training portal. This configuration is recommended only if you have several populations of employees who are concerned with entirely different trainings.
