# Hiding Part of the Population from an Administrator

## An administrator may only have access to the population within the area they manage.

It is possible to configure so that an administrator sees only a portion of the population, subject to the following conditions:

- Define the perimeters that should exist in Skillup (for example, perimeters by Department, entity, or even a perimeter aimed at isolating an HR or Executive Committee population to restrict access to certain administrators).
- Provide us with the rule - which can be automated based on the employee database we receive - for distributing employees within their perimeters (for example: "if an employee's Department has the value 'X', then they are assigned to perimeter 'Y', otherwise they are assigned to the default perimeter...").
- Provide us with the list of perimeters that each administrator should be able to see.

💡 **Caution**: the perimeters assigned to an administrator apply to all modules to which the administrator has access (if they do not see a portion of the population in the appraisals module, they will not see them in the training module either).
