The recommended training courses are highlighted on the employees' Skillup accounts. Select them carefully so that they make requests in alignment with your strategic training objectives.
On average, 80% of training requests from employees on Skillup come from recommended courses. Therefore, it's important to carefully think about and structure this offering in advance.
For the employee, recommended courses are highlighted in the Portal tab of their account, but also appear during a keyword search if a recommended course shows up in the search results.
Customizing your offering of recommended courses involves two steps:
Managing your intra or internal, and inter programs
These programs can be created in the Training > Programs section of the left sidebar in your Manager space. Click on the yellow button "+ Add a program". For more information, check this help center article for internal training and this one for inter programs.
Structuring your recommended courses offering
In the Configuration > Portal > Content section of the left sidebar, you can:
- Add sections to categorize recommended courses (corresponding to the titles "Internal Training", "English", etc., visible in the screenshot of the employee space above): click "+ Add a new recommended courses list" at the bottom of the page.
- Add courses to each of these sections: then click "+ Add a recommended course" in the relevant section, and select the program from the Skillup catalog, or a course you created in the previous step in your own catalog.
Once the sections and programs are added, you can change the order of the courses within a category by selecting the relevant course and dragging it to the preferred position.
You can also perform the following actions on an already created section using the following icons:
- Pencil: edit the title of the section
- Up arrow: move the section up (in the Employee space, it will then appear more to the left in the list of sections)
- Down arrow: move the section down (in the Employee space, it will then appear more to the right in the list of sections)
- Trash: delete the section, and the associated courses will no longer appear in the recommended courses
